Cody wrestled at Sergeant Bluff-Luton, where he was a 4x Iowa High School state qualifier and 2x placewinner on his way to 196 career wins. He went on to wrestle for the Naval Academy. Cody then went on to join the U.S. Marine Corps. But Cody’s biggest impact on the sport has arguably come after his wrestling days. He helped sanction wrestling in the state of Mississippi. He’s the treasurer of Beat the Streets St. Louis and the head coach at wreSTL. He also is a major advocate for the Wrestlers in Business Network, which serves as a platform to connect wrestlers to job opportunities across the county.
