Sam is entering his 10th season as the head coach of the Air Force wrestling program. And this past year was one of the best in program history. 5 Falcons qualified for the 2023 NCAA tournament and they finished tied for 18th as a team. As great as last year was, Coach Barber and company are looking for even better results this upcoming season. Sam wrestled at Upper Iowa (who was DIII at the time) and for Coach Mike McCready and ended up being a 2x national qualifier. I’ll tell you this right now: Do not be surprised if Air Force has an even better year in 2023-2024. Because Coach Barber and company has that team believing they can climb to new heights.
