Jake was a 2x state placer for Ames High School, placing 7th and 2nd. He wrestled collegiately for Wartburg, where he claimed All-American honors as a senior after a 5th place finish. Jake joined the Southeast Polk coaching staff in 2018 and became the head coach of the Rams in 2021. At 30 years old, he might be one of the younger coaches, but he has garnered the respect of everyone he meets. Easy to see why he was picked to succeed Coach Christenson.
