Kelli grew up wrestling for Blue Earth Area High School in Minnesota, where she was the first varsity female wrestler. She was a Cadet/Junior Women’s national champion in 2003 and a runner-up in 2004. At one point, Kelli was the No. 2 ranked female high school wrestler. She went on to wrestle at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, where she was a 2x All-Conference honoree. Kelli finished her college career at Winona State University that included 2 national titles and a runner-up finish. Kelli is now the Head Girls Wrestling Coach at Hopkins High School in Minnesota.
