Layne enters his 6th and final year at Michigan State. He’s from Macomb, MI and wrestled at Dakota High School. He was a 4x state placer, winning it all as a senior. As he prepares for one last ride as a Spartan, Layne has qualified every year for NCAA’s. He’s fallen short of All-American status each time and is no doubt looking to finish on the podium. He won’t be the only Michigan State wrestler looking to find the podium, as this Spartan team is looking to make some noise this year. You better get on the hype train now.
