Tim was a 3 sport star in high school, playing both baseball and football at a high level along with wrestling. Tim ultimately chose to wrestle at the University of Minnesota and became a 3x All-American, finishing 3rd as a sophomore before winning 2 national titles. He was the first Golden Gopher to win back-to-back national titles in 51 years, a crazy stat when you consider the history of the program. After competing on the senior level, Tim got into coaching, with stints at Minnesota, Iowa and Iowa State. He now currently resides in Stillwater, Minnesota and enjoys time with his 3 kids.
