Anything worth having is hard. Things taste sweeter when you have to work for it. Failure is tough, but not bad, if you can learn from it and then get beyond it. Take ownership, take control and take action.

In their April 5, 2021 article Help Your Employees find purpose or watch them leave, McKinsey shares eye popping stats that demonstrates it does matter, a lot.

So how do some of the more progressive organizations address this?

McKinsey study that 70% of employees surveyed said that their sense of purpose is largely
defined by work.

Our destiny chooses us! In the movie Rounders, actor Martin Landau is telling a story to Matt Damon about his choice of a career in law. His parents wanted him to be a Rabbi, but he chose to be a lawyer, explaining to Damon, "We can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses us."
