Tangential Inspiration

Welcome to Episode 196 of the Tangential Inspiration Podcast. We are celebrating Pride Month this episode. We have a great story covering historical and current LGBTQ+ trailblazers and discuss what allies can do to support the LGBTQ+ community. We also have a story about donating stem cells can change lives, and some follow ups on previous stories we have covered. Honestly, if you can't find some inspiration in this episode, you aren't even trying. Come have a listen and refill your inspiration tanks.

We discuss two links for people who want to register to be stem cell donors, and we are putting them up here for easy access.

Looking for inspiration? You have found it. In this episode we have a story about a tv show that is granting wishes to deserving people; Ms. Opal Lee who through grit and determination got Juneteenth recognized as a federal holiday, and Amara Nwuneli, a young African activist who is making a difference in climate change by energizing youth led advocacy. These stories will surely inspire!

Welcome to Episode 194 of the Tangential Inspiration Podcast. We have some amazing stories sure to inspire you. We start off with a woman who is changing the lives of children in Africa, abandoned by their families, because they are accused of being witches. Then there is the incredible story of Harriet Tubman, and her tale is much more interesting than what you may have learned in history class. We have the story of a storm chaser, Ryan Hall, who is making a difference both predicting extreme weather, and helping the survivors. There are a few other quick stories, but this episode is overloaded with inspiration. Come have a listen.

Sorry for the sporadic schedule, it has been a busy few weeks. We will try to get back on a regular schedule in June. That, however, does not mean this episode is not full to the brim with inspiration. We have some history on a teenage Civil Rights activist, some innovative prisons that are focusing on reform rather than just confinement, and a plant scientist who did more to fight world hunger than any person in history. There is so much inspiration to be had, come and get some.

We are back.  We did a little traveling and are now back to bring the inspiration.  We have three fantastic stories to inspire you.  The first is about Dan West and his charity, Heifer International, then we dive into the life of Jonas Salk, the humanitarian scientist who created the first polio vaccine, and finally, we introduce you to a teacher who is teaching her classes the meaning of kindness.  Warning, the last one might get you with some happy tears.
