Taskmaster: The People's Podcast

Ask the barista for the wifi password and grab a quiet table in the corner, it's time for another episode of Taskmaster The People's Podcast.

This week Jenny and Jack can practically smell the new series of Taskmaster, it's so close now. And, aside from being giddy in anticipation, Jack is sweating under the pressure of having to build a cot, Jenny is starting to notice Taskmaster fans in the audience while on tour, and they reminisce about past encounters with Greg's 'great big leathery liver.'

Plus they chat a little more about Taskmaster New Zealand, use stats to predict the next Champion of Champions using stats, and answer a fan's question about whether studio audiences get to see more task footage than the viewers at home.

As always, we'd love to hear your questions, thoughts about the NEW SERIES, or any other Taskmaster related goofs, bloops and smells. Email [email protected] to get in touch. Your time starts... NOW!

This week Jack gets to know our brand new host - Series 15's very own queen of our hearts Jenny Eclair! So, will they hit it off? Will Jack wow his new co-host with flattering Jenny-based statistics? You'll have to listen to find out.

We're not just getting to know Jenny in this episode, we're also getting her behind-the-scenes stories from series 15, plus all of Jenny's fresh insights on series 16 contestants - topped off with Jenny's gut-based predictions on what to expect come September 21st, when the NEW SERIES hits our screens (!)

Grab that box of tissues and get ready for a few tears, it's time for Lou Sanders' last episode of Taskmaster The People's Podcast.

That's right, we're saying goodbye to our beloved host as she spreads her wings and takes flight to new career heights post release of her latest mem-ha-ha (and future release of 24 Parrot Gold?). Jack and Lou discuss what this will mean for the podcast and play a game of Alex Horne-style 20 questions to try to guess who the new host will be.

That's not all - Lou's cats have new names, Jack uses the power of stats to come up with the best colour to wear if you want to win Taskmaster, and we inadvertently learn that Jack also might be colourblind. Plus Lou answers some fan mail about her custom outfit (and dishes some hot goss about other contestant outfits as well) and we reminisce on some of our favourite podcast memories.

If you want to share your Taskmaster thoughts, try to guess who the new host will be, or point out any goofs, bloops, or floops for the new host to contemplate, then please do send us an email at the address below. Your time starts... NOW!

Wrap up your Zoom call and set your Slack to 'busy' for the next 30 minutes, it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's podcast.

Weeee're back! Jack's had a baby! Lou's published a book! A fan has used AI to generate a new jingle for the podcast! It's all good stuff coming out of TMPP HQ this week, even if some news feels a little bit like it could be a prank from Ed.

Plus the stats are back as Jack grapples with the advantages and disadvantages of 'drilling down to the narrative.'

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, or a goof, a bloop, or even a floop that you've noticed while rewatching series 1 through 15th for the hundredth time and patiently waiting for series 16 to begin, then please do send us an email at the address below. Take another trip down memory lane with us this week. This time we're re-visiting the hat stat debacle (prompted by Ed Gamble), interviews with some of our earliest fan guests, plus remembering advice from Joel Porter about how to make The People's Podcast better than the other one. To top it all off is fan favourite Fern Brady recounting her Taskmaster experience and how Taskmaster fans have changed her.

Jack and Lou will be back next week to answer more of your questions and talk about what's been happening in the Taskmaster-verse while we've been away.

Relive some fan favourite moments, including the time Lou went to the Taskmaster Gathering, the American super fan who left her Taskmaster mark in the British Library, and the origins of certified goofs. All this plus a little more from Tom Cashman, Ed Gamble and Greg Davies himself.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, our emails are still open and we'll be back answering your questions soon!

Kick up your feet and toggle that volume bar right to the top, it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's podcast.

This week Jack and Lou discuss Jack's imminent arrival, some more Taskmaster conspiracy theories surface from the fans, and The People have questions for The Andy's, such as; what happens to all the Taskmaster art and what's the real story with Chris Ramsey and eggplants? Lucky for us, The Andy's have answers for The People!

And stat fans fear not, Jack puts all his stat power into answering a question from a fan about how contestants fare compared to how they appear in the open credit sequence.

Plus, the int-egg-rity of many Taskmaster scores is at stake with a HUGE IF TRUE egg-related goof.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've can't remember what Greg or Alex look like now that Taskmaster UK has been off air for so many weeks, then please do send us an email at the address below. Boot up your smartphone and pair up your favourite bluetooth speaker, because yet another Taskmaster: The People's Podcast has arrived.

This week Jack and Lou attempt to solve a stinky paw mystery (spoiler, it's nothing to do with Lou's cats!), Lou learns what an Oppenheimer is, and Jack has yet another Horn-y dream.

Don't worry, there's some Taskmaster news - not least because the latest series of Taskmaster New Zealand is due as imminently as Jack's baby! Plus we revisit some un-resolved questions of height-ism within the Taskmaster community using the power of stats, and a witch visits Lou and drops a pepper pot on the floor. Curious yet?

We also hear from The People regarding new bloops, a Sueperkins prediction, and a correction on the Judi Love goof.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've seen the Andy's in the wild and managed to ask them something then please do send us an email at the address below. Your time starts... NOW!

Flick on the kettle and grab that favourite mug, it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast.

This week Jack experiences a perfect side parting possibly gifted by Jesus himself, Lou gives us some updates from her Summer of Love and they both discuss the newly announced Australian Taskmaster contestants.

Chloe writes in with a conundrum for Stat-man Jack and Lou comes up with a way to up the stakes for disqualifications with her new Taskmaster format. Jack also stumbles across what he thinks is his ticket to a secret Taskmaster Elite club.

If you're hankering for some bloops, fear not - we take a little field trip to Bloop City Centre and back. Lovely Laura prompts some questions about Wet David Attenborough and the composer of the Ask The Andy's jingle writes in to discuss recent rumours about viking ruins in a Dublin Lidl.

If you want to get in touch with Jack and Lou, ask a question to the Andy's, or try your luck at joining the Taskmaster Elite by exposing some Taskmaster secrets, then you can email [email protected] OR leave a voice note on the Fanswering machine. The number is 07810 025570.

Brush the crumbs off your sofa and nestle in to your favourite little spot, it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast.

What would it be like to watch your parents on Taskmaster? Wonder no more, because for the first time EVER we are speaking to the child of a Taskmaster contestant. Turns out she's not really a child at all, but a grownup, accomplished playwright and all around cool parent - the wonderful Phoebe Eclair-Powell! They discuss her mum's previous experience with barges, why Phoebe's never eaten chilli from a boot, and also what is was like to see her son on Taskmaster and why she wants #justiceforArlo

Lou and Jack also discuss whether its better to be a loser or average, Lou uses her parkour skills to recover from a fall, and Jack's daughter has adopted a TMPP phrase - can you guess which one?

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've also watched your parent on Taskmaster and would like to use this as a sort of 'children of Taskmaster' hotline then, as always, you can leave a voice note on the Fanswering machine.
