Taskmaster: The People's Podcast

Close the blinds and open your ears, it's another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. This week we once again delve behind the scenes to talk to the legendary Sam Montague, director of photography and all round lovely man. We chat work/life balance, camera tips and Lou and Jack pitch their new squirrel doc, 'Go Nuts!. Will Sam bite?

When we go high Jack goes low this episode with stats about the lowest scoring winners. Just how little effort do you need to put in to succeed? Surely one of life's most important questions.

Pucker your lips and furrow your brows, it's another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. This week we are joined by the wonderful Fern Brady, beamed in all the way from Cork to discuss bread hypnosis, Lou's big hands and her fantastic new book, Strong Female Character.

Speaking of literary works, Jack's doing things by the book this week, and by that I mean he's looking into whether being a published author helps or hinders Taskmaster contestants. Who's the most prolific? Who's the most successful? And who's stolen the bookmark out of my copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar? Now I'll never know what happens to that greedy little boy!

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've had all the doors in your house adjusted so that if Greg Davies were to visit he wouldn't need to stoop, we're all ears. Put your past behind you and embrace the future (or at least the next 36 minutes) because it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. This week we have the master puppeteer, the man with a plan, the guy who shouts cut, Icarus made man; Tom Furniss, director of the New Zealand and Australian Taskmaster series. We're talking nicknames, cut scenes and even a sneak peak at the upcoming Taskmaster series.

Jack's whipped out his cut-throat razor of stats this week as he answers whether facial hair gives you an advantage. Do the hirsute get the loot or does it all turn out to be moot?

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've recently been banned from your local golf course for filling the holes with potatoes, we're all ears. Put your hands in the air like you just don't care, then bring them down again to press the play button because it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. And what an episode we have for you. The brilliant star of Taskmaster New Zealand series two, Guy Montgomery, joins us to enlighten, delight(en) and tell us exactly why he put his dick in a toaster.

Jack's abandoned the spreadsheet this week and dived head-first into the world of books. Well, one book really, the Taskmaster Big Book of Quotes. Relive your favourites, discover the finest wordsmith from the contestants and marvel at how small this 'big' book actually is.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've spent the last three years building the 'Taskmatron', an AI powered robot, designed to complete all know tasks with utmost efficiency, we're all ears. Assume the position (you'll know which position) because it's time for another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. This week we've gone GLOBAL. We're joined by the wonderful Sam Smith (not that one) who is the task writer for the New Zealand and Australian Taskmasters as well as a warm up act and all round bloody nice guy. We discuss inspiration, perspiration and even a little defecation as Sam pulls back the curtains on the machine that is Taskmaster.

Jack is welcoming in the Chinese New Year with a cornucopia of facts and stats about the Chinese Zodiac, mainly supplied by Ayden, a self-identifying snake (their words not mine). Can horses handle the pressure? Is this the time for rabbits to shine? Was Jack born in 1964? All will be revealed.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've recently engineered an ICO for a Taskmaster themed cryptocurrency called HorneCoin, we're all ears. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the cheekiest of them all? Well this week on Taskmaster: The People's Podcast we're going to find out and give that person Lou's very own, as seen on TV, backup boiler suit. We've been inundated with silly, offensive, disturbing and most importantly cheeky texts and we've got a very special guest to read them out for us (it's Mark Watson, sorry I'm terrible at keeping secrets). Jack's gone professional this week as he looks into whether having a career before comedy helps or hinders our contestants. Yes Jack, we get it, you've got a new job.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that all of your children are called Greg or Alex and your family name is Taskmaster, we're all ears. As always, you can leave a voice note on the Fanswering machine. The number is 07810 025570. Alternatively send us an email at the address below. Your time starts... NOW!

The first episode of the year and what more appropriate way to celebrate than inviting our first ever guest who was the first to complete the Taskmaster book, on our first episode entitled 'Firsts' for the second time! No we're not running out of ideas, Nathan's back to promote his brain-melting, fund-raising Treasure Hunt. Alongside these noble endeavours, and slightly less charitably Jack's been asked to shake the whole bloody thing up and introducing a new scoring system. Who are the biggest winners? Who is going to fall from grace? How does Jack have the time to research these things? All questions which should be answered ASAP.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've recently stumbled across Alex's online manifesto and are shocked beyond words at what he's been up to, we're all ears. Goodbye to last year and HAI HAI to another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. And what a way to bring in the New Year, we'll be chatting with the wonderful Tom Perrett, editor on Taskmaster from series 1-12 and purveyor of Easter eggs and hot tips. Also squeezing into the dying days of 2023 is Jack whose stats will pull apart the ghosts of New Year Treats past and New Year Treats to come to show off their frankly disturbing interiors.

The Andys are back (with some little helpers) to talk Greg on the show and we'll be soft launching our new Taskmaster Head to Head moments section. If you have any favourite moments don't forget to send them in to [email protected]

Ho ho ho holy moley it's a very festive Christmas episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. That's right jingle every bell you've got because we have hilarious crackers, delicious dinner and the greatest gift you can give this Christmas. No, not kindness, it's actually Lou's task outfit from season eight. Our very own Jack Frost's got a list and will be checking it twice to tell you which of our contestants has been naughty or nice.

And if that weren't enough for you, there's a lovely Christmas treat from one of our listeners this week in the Ask the Andys section to warm the cockles of your heart and Lou and Jack read out all your delightful correspondence.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've adorned you Christmas tree with festive Phil Wang effigies (putting the dong in Ding Dong Merrily on High), we're all ears. Pop on your socks because it's another episode of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast. This week we're going back to school to learn something for once from the erudite, eloquent, excellent and certainly not effluent, Ali and James from Taskmaster Education. Jackie B is warming his cockles on hot drinks to find out whether being caffeinated (or perhaps inebriated) helps or hinders the contestants.

If you want to share your Taskmaster obsession, whether it's talking about your favourite task, what you loved from the latest episode or that you've remixed Greg's intro to season twelve episode four into an acid house banger, we're all ears.
