In this week's episode, Dany's chapter takes this series to a whole other level. Raven sobs at the awesomeness of purchasing the Unsullied, we question Jake on his reaction when he first read the book to the deal Dany makes, and we break down the differences between this chapter and the scene in the show. A mysterious character makes a reappearance and we try to solve their riddle. Sansa's chapter also takes a turn when she is forced to marry a Lannister. We are saddened by her chapter and deeply disturbed by the duties of a medieval 12-year old girl. Jess talks about her recent experience getting black-out drunk and we give an update on what's new on our Patreon.

We actually manage to get through three chapters in this week's episode! Raven's mind is blown for the tenth time when Jess notices the Reeds may know more about Lord Eddard than Bran, and it's blown again when Jess points out the shockingly familiar name of one of the gods of Melisandre's religion. Raven is left reeling and yammering nonsensical praise for George R.R. Martin's impressive writing ability. We also learn the meaning of a "Lord's Kiss." Other topics include: Jess makes a foolish mistake involving tacos, pizza holds dark memories for us, we might be morning people, and we get sloppy drunk and have hangover poops.

In this week's chapters of A Storm of Swords, villages and trees and murderous northmen have us shook! We attempt to solve a mysterious woman's mysterious dreams, including the identities of a faceless man on a bridge and a woman crying red tears in a river. We also have an epiphany about "tansy" and convince ourselves we've figured out what happened between Lysa and her father, Hoster! Trust us, we're geniuses. We learn details about what makes the Unsullied so cool and the tension between Dany and Jorah rises. Outside of the book, we discuss our love languages and our partners' workplace injuries.

It's our 100th episode! Can you believe it? To celebrate this milestone, we are joined by special guest, Jake, to play our most deep-cut trivia yet! Join us as we tackle questions about A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings, argue semantics, attempt to name all the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, challenge the host's judgement, wrack our brains for the names of irrelevant characters, and scream-laugh our way to either total success or complete failure. Will be utterly embarrass ourselves? Or will our impeccable knowledge of the first two novels of the Song of Ice and Fire series impress Jake and ourselves?...

In this week's chapters of A Storm of Swords, we learn more about giants and question Tormund's many wild stories. Jon is caught in a lie and Ygritte has a crush. We debate whether Sansa is weak or strong, discussing how she's grown so far as a character. Jess summarizes a 6-paragraph horse chase and we realize it may have been a mistake for Arya to reveal her identity. Other topics include: Raven's itchy legs, the magical horsey wonderland that is our home city, Easter celebrations, motorcycle stereotypes, and Raven's new job!

After recalling the fiasco that was the first time we tried chamomile tea, we dive into A Storm of Swords, where Tyrius (Tyrion's new name) very predictably follows his little head as opposed to his big head. We realize Arya's storyline nearly collides with Jaime's and Brienne's, and we are stunned when Arry's true identity is finally revealed. We can't get over how badly Robb f**ks up, and Grey Wind is nowhere to be seen. We question how George R.R. Martin writes, Jess tells her thoughts on the ending of WandaVision, and Raven raves about 1917.

In today's chapters of A Storm of Swords, we examine how George R.R. Martin employs exposition in Dany's introductory chapter, we learn more about dragons, Jorah makes a move on Dany, and the Unsullied sound very different from how we remember them in the show. Also, we discover Jojen Reed isn't a true greenseer and Bran's mind might be melding a little too closely with Summer's. Jess tells us about the other books she's reading, including the Satanic Bible and the Witch's Bible, and Raven talks critically of the writing in Divergent by Veronica Roth.
