Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  The Australian father and son team that created the Flow Hive….has been at it again…creating lots of buzz around a new line called Flow Hive 2.  CEO Cedar Anderson…says it improves on the original idea to be able to harvest honey by turning a spigot and disturbing bees as little as possible..

“From the ground up we put little legs so they’re adjustable so you can get your hive on a perfect angle..and then we’ve got a pest management tray that slides in and out to help people manage beetles and mites and things like that.  And then we went the next level with just the knobs and things by turning them into nice brass fixtures.”

“The u shape makes it possible that the user has the window coming through the air conditioner so they can still see through the window…gets rid of those accordion side panels and also makes it possible for the user to open and close the window whenever necessary.”

It’s designed to be quiet too.  Very clever…and the Midea U can also connect to WiFI and be controlled through Google or Amazon smart speaker voice commands.  Pricing starts at 339 dollars for an 8 thousand BTU unit, they go up to 12 thousand BTUs.
