Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. There’s some clever engineering behind Decathlon’s new 2 Seconds Easy Tent. It is unlike the pop up tents that spring open when taken out of a bag. What Decathlon has done was use two handles ...that get pulled…and just like that…you have a two person tent ready to be staked down. With the push of two buttons….it collapses just as easily. Product manager Fabien Marescaux..
“You can imagine two umbrellas facing one to each other and to open and close the umbrellas, if you want to open…you just pull on the rope and if you want to close the umbrella, you push on a button.
Fabien spoke to us from Decathlon’s design facility in Chamonix, France. The 2 Second Easy Tent lives up to its name and….features black out fabric as well to help you get a good night’s sleep. For more head to www.Decathlon.com.
