Telos is a new blockchain network based on EOSIO, the same software that powers EOS. The Telos network is built for developers. It will have all the same technical features of the EOS mainnet with more stable and secure operation and governance due to elimination of whale control of block producer selection and voting.

Telos will pay block producers more evenly, enforce minimum requirements, and swap in standbys regularly to prove readiness and allow top 21 block producers regular maintenance time.

RAM price will be more stable and RAM will be sold to bona fide developers at the Published Guidance Price issued periodically by the Telos Foundation so that developers can better budget for deployment costs on the Telos network.

EOS owners at the time of the June 1, 2018 snapshot will receive free TLOS tokens 1:1 up to a cap of 40,000 tokens. The token cap fixes the extreme centralization of EOS ownership which allows EOS 'whales' to control the voting for block producers and all other control of the network. Telos eliminates this problem so that all the other technological advances of the EOSIO -- fast transactions, no gas price, smart contracts, sidechains, and more -- can reach their potential.

Telos is a new blockchain network based on EOSIO, the same software that powers EOS. Telos will discourage RAM speculation to keep new addresses and DApps affordable on the network.

Recently new EOS addresses cost $20 due to RAM speculation.Telos will keep RAM inexpensive and stable by issuing low amounts of RAM in the beginning (about 4GB) and tying future releases to network utilization. This allows the network to release more RAM to discourage speculators.

Telos will also have published guidance pricing issued from the Telos Foundation which will set the price that RAM would likely be if not for speculation. The TF may buy below this rate and sell above it. It will also sell RAM at the published guidance price to actual developers releasing DApps on the network whenever the RAM price is above a certain amount more than the PGP (for example, 10 or 15% above PGP). This will further discourage speculation beyond this natural range without the negatives of a fixed price. This reduces the need to hoard RAM and allows developers to budget for their DApp deployments.
