Ever notice how easily “God” turns into a supporting character in our story? We open Exodus 20 by slowing down at the starting line, where God names Himself, asserts His authority, and reminds Israel that He redeemed them from slavery. That context changes everything: the Ten Commandments are not dusty relics or cultural leftovers.
