Here we are friends, episode 25 Tenaciously Being, and this episode coming to you on Thanksgiving, 2023. An American Holiday, no doubt, and one that is ripe for being reckoned with as our Collective Society is evolving so massively. So many traditions are being turned upside down and shook out… this one is on the list, it’s only a matter of time.
This time of year also marks the slippery slope of the “Holiday Season” - Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah and the New Year (of the Gregorian calendar) all coming in HOT. It’s no secret this can become a busy and hectic time of year, and I know I’m not alone in the awareness that it’s uncomfortable. I no longer want it to be this way. Ironically, this episode is coming out later than usual, and I’m struggling to write this intro because I’ve had to really fight for the time to get here and don’t feel emotionally available to care much about what I say 😆. Does anyone actually read these anyway 🤷♀️?
In an effort to record something “useful” and “relative” to my current life, I chose to talk about Creativity (again) in this episode. It won’t be the last time, either, because it becomes more and more evident every day how important this is to me and my greater Purpose in the world. Creativity will be discussed many, many times on this podcast as well as in my work as an Artist. I see it as a missing link for humans to actually thrive in the world. I see it as an inherent tool we all have access to, but has (perhaps intentionally) been atrophied. We have a beautiful opportunity to Create the Life We Want to Live…. But we’ve forgotten HOW to Create.
The “Matrix” is thick and heavy this time of year. I can see the Collective desire to step out of it, to slow down, to stop doing #allthethings, to relax and enjoy the life we make. I see Creativity as the lumber or stones for the bridge that we are building to get us there. I see it as a foundational necessity, like muscles are to ligaments and bones… the only way to make the reality we want to see is to Create it. The only way to Create it is to remember that we know how, and that takes practice. So, therefore practicing Creativity is one of the most powerful ways we can begin to change the world. The pivot I’m being thrust into (and discussed in this episode) is so obvious from this angle.
I also mentioned the Art that I make and sell online… Here is the website, and until the end of November you can use the code THANKYOU20 for 20% off all purchases. I appreciate the opportunity to share my work with the world, your support puts wind in my sails to make more.

THANKYOU20 is the discount code again
I also understand that my Art is not for everyone and purchasing is not always a viable option. In that case, some of the best support you can give any person trying to succeed as an Artist is the free kind - likes, comments, shares, subscriptions, and mentions are all incredibly meaningful and have more of an impact than you might realize - even outside of social media. We are in wild times on the internet and there is a lot of noisy competition. It’s the tiny ripples of genuine engagement that actually make a difference to me, more than the tidal waves of popularity and influence. I’m here for connection, not fame.
You can find me on Facebook, but I don’t spend much time there. I prefer Instagram and am constantly looking for other ways to connect. In person is my favorite!
