This week I've been doing some listening to an audiobook of The Body Keeps The Score that was recommended to me by the therapist that I'm currently working with! I'm on chapter 4 right now and decided to take some notes on how my experience with PTSD relates to the information provided in the literature. I still have some months left on my journey of integration before I get back to utilizing cannabis as a tool to enhance my quality of life, and I finally feel like I'm beginning to make some progress on the healing of my PTSD symptoms. Rather than just abating the suffering. I hope to be in a different place mentally and spiritually before I return to one of my favorite things in the world!

This week I'm exploring a new compound that I haven't discussed on the podcast yet! Muscimol is an interesting compound with a unique pharmacological profile, it feels like a stimulating version of ambien with a slight variation on the visual auditory aspects. This compound is derived from the Amanita Muscaria mushroom and is worth exploring if you're into all of the potential experiences that our universe has created for our consciousness. 

I've always been fascinated by what nature can produce and this experience reinforced that notion. As always please exercise caution and stick to doses of 10-50mg; if you must send it further please don't exceed 80mg of the isolated muscimol and have someone hanging out with you who is familiar with the compound.

In this episode I'm back in the Trichocereus tent to show the progress on the TBM + the seedlings! There was a bit of sunburn and dehydration that occured when I got the flu a couple of weeks ago, and we're still in the process of healing that this week. I also go on the first hike of 2026 and discuss some of the philosophical ideas that have been floating around in my consciousness. Particularly the Jungian concept of the Dark Night Of The Soul. I first learned of this concept reading PIHKAL by Alexander Shulgin. If you haven't read this, erowid has a copy online of part 2 of the book. This week we're back in the tent to sew some new seeds and introduce some more new life into the tent! It's a rather sad week otherwise and I don't have much else to say unfortunately. I greatly appreciate the continued support of the Terp Team through these trying times!

This week we revived the tent with some new lifeforms! Specifically a Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose that has three segments currently! These cacti have been utilized for thousands of years by human beings to connect and commune with the universe and are an essential tool in any explorers toolkit! I go over some of the alkaloids and triterpinoids found in this species as well as some other trichocereus varieties other than the TBM. Terpenes are found in all kinds of plants so it's important to cover all of the ones used for exploration of the mind, body, and soul!

I am currently recovering from a cold so this episode is shorter, stay tuned for next week's Chrimmus special where I will be sowing seeds several other Trichocereus varieties and documenting their growth over the next few months!

This week we're enjoying the last bit of reasonable weather for this year before getting the tent restarted! This time instead of growing cannabis plants we're going to be exploring the world of ornamental cacti! In particular several cultivars of Trichocereus cacti! I also talk a bit about my observations on the current state of the world and discuss my progress with getting back to baseline from 15 years of consistent cannabis use for the management of my mental health symptoms! Recently it has been tough dealing with, but I will survive and I have a lot of mental IOUs to pay back before I can return!

This week we're at JAM glass gallery in beautiful Sylva, NC to learn how to create a honeycomb pendant from scratch! Glass art is something that has been important to me since I was 15 years old and there was always glass art in my house growing up too! Learning how to actually create something out of the raw material has given me a new appreciation for those artists out there who create incredibly complex functional and non functional pieces! I hope to reintegrate it into my existence once I develop more resiliance toward the internal and external horrors that I exist with daily. With a stronger soul will come more enjoyment from one of my life's greatest passions: the cannabis plant. Beyond the culture of it all, this plant is so special to me. My dad taught me the skill of growing it when I was 18 and that changed my life forever. And before my mom died, I was able to connect with her on a human level through the plant. It dissolves the boundaries of the illusion of parent/child and showed me the reality of human/human.

This week we're still kicking on the no cannabis train, and I am grateful that it has been an easy transition! I attribute this to not being addicted to it; rather just dependent on the benefits for my quality of life! Addiction and dependency are two different things that can sometimes occur at the same time. However, for me, addiction is an imbalance within the soul, mind, and body rather than the actual drug itself! It's been difficult mentally since the withdrawals have cessated and I can see why PTSD is a qualifying conditions for medical cannabis! One day I will return to it with a new baseline; however I now realize the value of intermittent breaks! It will always be a tool for improving the quality of life for me, and just like any tool you can either build a house or cut your hand off with it! However, I built a pretty unstable house and so I am tearing it down to the foundation and learning new skillsets and tools to utilize in combination with cannabis when I return to it! Thank you all for the continued support as I continue to explore this new path in my life. Also big thank you to both Uncle Albert and Huachuma for shedding light on how unstable the house I had built was! The future is beautiful and will be even terpier when I return! And the headstash will be THICCCCCCCC because I am deep freezing everything! 

I also go on a rant about the Alcohol Nicotine Caffeine control system. Vote with your dollars against these industries that only exist to enslave our bodies, minds, and souls! Health + sanity is freedom and these drugs only deteriorate that within people.
