This week we're back in the TT Tomato Tent and we're setting up a 20 gallon Grassroots Living Soil Fabric Pot from Sustainable Village. This tent will feature two 20 gallon and two 30 gallon pots to see what's best for a 4x4 space, should you leave some room between pots? Let's find out together! We're currently on day 9 since the seeds were put into the soil. Should be just a few more days before transplant! We've got one set of true leaves formed on each one, and i'll transfer once i get three leaves established + solid roots! The roots have formed but they still have to develop!

For this pot we're running Build A Soil 3.0 with the Clover Cover Crop Blend and Mycelium Inoculated Straw. I'm excited to see how the relationship between the companion crops vs the old method of growing performs!

IT'S ALIIIIIVVVEEEEE!!!!! In honor of my parents and halloween being a good time to reconnect with a past life, I'm getting the Terpene Therapy Tomato Tent up and running again! I figure here's a good place to consolidate my lore expansion from this episode, I used to grow "tomatoes" with them at the house I grew up in before my mom's cancer progressed and she required advanced treatment in Texas. The traveling made it to where the grow fell apart; it simply was not a priority and cannabis didn't seem help her particular type of cancer. Certain, rare, types of cancer don't respond well to cannabis treatment. That being said, it's time to get back into it.

This week we're germinating the Amnesia Lemon Hashplant from Superfluous Strains out of VA. This strain is the most similar one in my collection to the Amnesia Haze that I used to grow with my parents. Besides the nostalgic aspect, this strain should also exhibit similar rhythms to my Amnesia Haze runs. I started them in an AC Infinity Humidity Dome Germination Kit with LED Grow Light Bars using New Earth Organics Custom Seed Starting Mix and clean spring water! Aiming for 80ºF and 88%RH on a 18/6 light cycle to promote growth. Excited to see what I find!

This week we're at the Terp Table/Laboratory in KY some Lime Pop living soil cured flower and some Greasy Cat Freeze Dried Flower! Pressing flower takes me back to my roots of learning to press the Amnesia Haze that I used to grow with my family. I did a Double Bag 25u at 188ºF press with 10g of the lime pop as well as a Single Bag 25u at 180ºF press to compare quality/yield! The freeze dried flower was pressed at 170ºF and yielded less than the other presses; likely because I didn't have a whole lot of material to start! This week we're live at The Smoking Jacket, hosted by the Toro Family at their property in Ithaca, NY! I was given the opportunity to capture conversations for both wake & bakes; here's day one! I sat down with Adam, a hashmaker and cast iron aficionado, to try some fresh press, discuss the score card + hash judging, cast iron pans, as well as capture conversations with Meltwaukee from WI and Hash Craft from MI. Polar opposite states when it comes to hash production, split by Lake Michigan. It's cool to be able to capture their unique perspectives.
