Daniel was the winner of the grueling endurance and obstacle course event Tough Mudder in Australia in 2013. He has competed in a variety of half-marathon events around the world, in which he has maintained results in the top one percent. Born in Romania, Daniel was orphaned as a baby, adopted and moved to Canada, where he then grew up and studied. Since meeting Daniel, I am constantly impressed by his kind and approachable nature. He seeks the good in everyone he meets and in every situation. This approach translates into positive and enriching relationships with his students, colleagues, peers his beloved dogs. Daniel gives of his time freely by offering his talents to support his community whenever he can and this is evident with his weekly DanSanity fitness classes that he has consistently offered for free to his current school community. Daniel has adopted a “work hard play hard” philosophy to his life and I don’t know anyone else who does it as well as him.
