Six positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Taranaki, nearly two weeks after the first positive wastewater detection of the virus.

One person is in hospital.

In Stratford, the iwi and DHB have opened pop up testing and vaccination centres.

Meanwhile, local iwi have told RNZ they want the region put into Alert Level three and that the Health Board is testing its own staff.
