thevoiceofasurvivor.com  Russell Manser is a former bank robber and prison escapee from Mount Druitt.   He shares his story of being sentenced to an infamous boys home at 15, and going to Long bay prison at 16.  Abuses he suffered in these institutions led to a life of Bank robberies, heroin addiction, and a total of over 23 years spent behind bars.  He is now the director of thevoiceofasurvior.com where he helps seek justice for people who have suffered institutional abuse.

Stephanne shares his story of going from bouncing at night clubs, to becoming an associate professor at Swinburne university.  His research looks at culturally and linguistically diverse young people and their involvement in the youth justice system.   He discusses his work at the Parkville youth justice centre, and some of the common threads and background stories of the inmates there. He is also involved with a number of organisations in Melbourne mentoring and guiding at-risk youth.  He also gives advice to any youth workers or groups on the best way to work with young people.
