Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez want to next fight each other in a high-stakes lightweight unification bout, Top Rank's Bob Arum told ESPN on Tuesday after talking with both camps.

"In talking with Lomachenko and Lopez, neither of them want an interim fight," Arum said. "So we would plan to do that in September, with or without an audience."

Unbeaten US boxing sensation Ryan Garcia has found himself getting an offer from Floyd Mayweather AGAIN for his next fight that could get him thinking at least.
Garcia has been steadily developing as a fighter in recent years as one of Golden Boy Promotions and Oscar De La Hoya’s leading prospects that they’ve hugely invested into the career of so far.
Now, Floyd Mayweather has reportedly offered Garcia a $200,000 fight purse Bonus to take on Rolando Romero III.
The two had previously sparred before in a spar that made quite a bit of noise at the time a few years ago.

Bob Arum remains hopeful that the third Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder fight can happen in November or December.

Fury’s co-promoter is a lot less optimistic about Fury-Wilder III taking place in the United States, where their first two fights were held. Arum told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday that their third WBC heavyweight championship match “probably” will be staged outside of the U.S. because COVID-19 restrictions could prevent crowds from attending sporting events there through the end of this year.

Yesterday many weren't aware of what took place to the naked eye or the casual boxing fan it might of seemed as harmless the normal when it came to Floyd Mayweather in the gym with the WBC Champion Devin Haney. Some may think it was no big deal but I feel at least one person was affected if not triggered by the two sharing the ring and training together. He might say no and even that he doesn't care but the question is do you believe it?

Topics (5-7-2020)

1. Is any hope of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. comeback totally gone with the recent passing of his Uncle Roger? Floyd admits as much in a recent interview.

2. Derrick James, Spence’s trainer, says the mine for a Crawford fight isn’t there yet. Is he admitting Crawford is too risky? Or is he saying Crawford remains irrelevant until he fights someone?

3. Plant accuses Benavidez camp of not wanting the fight right away after referencing an interview with Sampson Lew where he said they wanted the Plant fight in 2021, 2022.

4. Dana White and Stephen Espinoza verbally spar on twitter over UFC 249 and whether or not fighters have the right to complain about Covid-19 testing protocols. Does agreeing to fight during these times mean you should sacrifice some basic rights as a fighter?

Topics (5-17-2020)
1. Eddie Hearn’s $1.2M Dollar Plan to Bring Boxing Back Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin
2. Jonathan Oquendo in running to land Jamel Herring fight on July 2nd. Shakur Stevenson, Jose Ramirez, and Oscar Valdez.
3. Holyfield and Tyson trilogy currently being negotiated? Is there rivalry too heated to “fight nicely?”
4. Danny Garcia says he’ll fight Pacquiao or Spence this Fall. Which is most likely? Which do we want more?

notes:

- Hearn says it’s “virtually impossible” to hold AJ-Pulev in U.k. But sees the fight happening between September-November.

- Haye reflects on Tyson’s career: “How many fights has he had where he was behind on points, where he got put down, hurt, and came back? That’s the question.” Does a fighter have to “overcome adversity” to prove he is one of the greats?

Returning former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is not fighting ex-ruler Shannon Briggs in a Bare Knuckle match-up, World Boxing News can confirm.

The report made waves on Thursday evening as a fake account created under the name of BKFC chief David Felman’s name duped plenty.

Fake Feldman stated: “I would like to announce that both Shannon Briggs and Mike Tyson have agreed to fight each other in the main event of BKFC 12.”
The retired former four-division titlist is taking steps to return boxing to his beloved island, which hasn’t hosted a live event since late February due to the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Cotto’s company, Miguel Cotto Promotions (MCP) and partner Hector Soto’s H2 Entertainment have been in touch with the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports and the local boxing commission with a proposal to present the first event—behind closed doors—as early as August.
