Former two-division world champion Jessie Vargas is eager and ready for a showdown with Kell Brook, who at one time held the IBF title at welterweight.

Vargas has accepted terms for a fight with Brook on a date in April in the United States.

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Vargas is now being trained by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach.

BRONER'S PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

The question is, coming off of his recent loss to Manny Pacquiao on January 19 in Las Vegas and a 3-3-1 record in his most recent seven fights, how does Broner redeem and reinvent himself and still be looked at as one of the top talents in the sport? We already know Broner is a top draw. That is indisputable. Think what you like, but fans tune in to see Broner. Whether they're tuning in to see him win or tuning in to see him lose, it doesn't matter. They're still tuning in. https://www.patreon.com/Thaboxingvoice

Now Whyte is being lined up for a return date on April 13 at the O2 Arena, while Joshua is heading to a June 1 date against Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Whyte has labeled Breazeale as his top priority for the April date.
Breazeale is open to the idea of doing the fight - but under the right conditions.
“People have talked about it for a while. I am a fan-pleasing type of guy, so if that’s what the fans want to see, I’m all for it,” Breazeale said to The Independent.
“At the same time, I’m not going to pass up opportunities to fight for the WBC title, to go down there to fight Dillian Whyte. I hope he does make some type of a deal. He can come here to the United States and he can get all he wants of Dominic Breazeale.”
Whyte views a contest with Breazeale as a sure-shot way to secure a mandatory creak at Wilder.https://www.patreon.com/Thaboxingvoice

By Jake Donovan
For the moment, it appears that Diilian Whyte’s U.S. invasion remains limited to several important business meetings and a ringside view for Manny Pacquiao’s stateside return.
At the very least, however, it caught the attention of the promoter who has guided most of his professional career.
The top-rated heavyweight contender from England by way of Jamaica has seen his name floated as a leading candidate for an April 13 showdown with Anthony Joshua, only for that date—and for the moment, the rematch itself—to be dead in the water. Whyte has sensed as much in recent weeks, taking issues with the offers presented by longtime promoter Eddie Hearn and instead opting to explore other options which led to his U.S. business trip.

Have been told Golovkin's offer from @DAZN_USA includes 1 lesser fight for big $$$, then Canelo, if he beats Daniel Jacobs. The PBC offer 2 Golovkin supposedly is one lesser fight for even bigger $$$ than DAZN is offering, then Jermall Charlo. More $$$ overall in @DAZN_USA deal.
