So what's next for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) in the wake of his twelve round majority decision over Gennady Golovkin this past weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas?

"We have December 15th reserved for him," Eric Gomez, the president of Golden Boy Promotions, told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday.

"We're going to get together with the team later this week. We're going to discuss it, it's up to him whether he feels capable of it or not, depending on the cut."

Dear Fight Fans,

On the night of Saturday, September 15, fans were set to be treated to what sports should be all about: the two best athletes in a sport squaring off against each other with the winner earning the title of the best in the business. This kind of an event - where an individual can be called the best in any sport - is truly rare.
