WBC president had this to say about the welterweight title picture, "Champion Keith Thurman will return in a voluntary title defense, as he has recovered from his injury. Shawn Porter is the mandatory challenger, and Danny Garcia will fight Brandon Rios in a final elimination bout for the second mandatory due to the inactivity of Thurman.”

2017 is almost complete and now lets look at PBC’s Fighter of the Year, Jermell Charlo. Does he deserve this nod under the PBC banner? Has his stock risen the most under PBC this year? Will this mean they invest in Charlo going forward?

2017 is almost complete and now lets look back on the year to see who was the biggest winner and who was the biggest loser. Did Lomachenko stock rise the most? Did Anthony Joshua become the biggest star of the sport? Is Gennady Golovkin the biggest loser for the change in the perception of him? Or is Deontay Wilder the biggest loser simply for not getting the big fight due to his opponents PED issues?

Another flagship edition of ThaBoxingVoice. Today’s topics include:

Dana White went on Fox Sports 1 and said the UFC will meet with Floyd Mayweather Jr. to discuss a potential deal. Fake news again?

Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker seems all but set in stone with both sides saying they’ve agreed to a purse split and other clauses.

Tyson Fury vs Shannon Briggs? Perhaps it is the next showdown for the lineal heavyweight champion.

Vasyl Lomachenko has said he could be interested in entering the World Boxing Super Series. Would that be the right move?

Plus More!
