Shawn Porter vs. Danny Garcia for the interim WBC welterweight belt seems to be on the way to becoming reality. Is this the right fight for Porter to get a Keith Thurman rematch? Is this the right fight for Garcia coming off a loss?

Is the winner of this bout the best option for Thurman or will IBF champ Errol Spence Jr. take that spot?

Yesterday Keith Idea from boxingscene.com reported that Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz was in the works for November 4th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

However, it seems Wilder’s mandatory, Bermane Stiverne doesn't want to take step-aside money, and he has signed a managerial deal with James Prince to protect himself seemingly from his own promoter,  Don King.
