When our priorities are wrong, our hearts will be anxious. Jesus reminds us in this passage that we don't need to worry about the necessities of life. We have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for His children. Our worry shows a lack of faith and trust in our good God. The cure to our anxiety is to seek the Lord and not the things of this world.

The Lord's prayer is a pattern for prayer that is beneficial for all those in Christ to use. The first three requests have to do with God's glory, and the last three requests are for our good.
