Divorce profile: Married her best friend at 21. Religious background. No children. She initiated the divorce
What I love about this episode is the transparency and candor. Stephanie is a divorceé currently living in Shanghai, China. How did she get there? She divorced and moved across the planet to create mental and physical space so she needed to heal. Stephanie is an introspective person, a seeker, and her take on her divorce is very enlightening.
We talk about what it meant to marry her best friend, and at a young age. How their families and her religious community were rooting for them- but consciously and subconsciously created pressure for them to stay together longer than she knew she should stay. We talked about co-dependency and being married to someone with substance abuse issues.
Listen to hear more about Stephanie's story.
We also talk at length about the Circle Process starting at the 30:00 mark. *Ask google about it if you want to learn more.
A little about Stephanie and how to reach her:
