It’s a dreams extravaganza as Katherine exchanges dreams with Lucille from Cambria in this show. Lucille starts with a dream in which she explores the symbolism of rectangles vs squares concluding that she gives “a little more leeway” than most of the people she knows. She also notes that she changes her clothes in the dream to be wearing her favorite color, purple, and laments that it can be hard to let go and accept the things that happen in life. We reference the poem “When I am an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple”.

Katherine then shares a dream about taking care of some very colorful lizards owned by my writing teacher. Lucille asks about my association with lizards and it brings up for me the kind of “lizard mind” which reminds me of a kind of primitive instinctive part of myself. This also reminds me of my writing process and Lucille shares a quote from Stephen King in which he says that as a writer that you should “Just keep going”.

Lucille then shares a second dream in which she is debating with others about the environment. The dream brings up ideas about what she can and can’t do in waking life around such big and important issues.

I finish out with a couple more dreams from my journal including one about building a space ship and another about my relationship with my husband, Max.
