In a distant time (earlier this year) 4 friends embarked on a Skype journey to chat... Dinosaurs!

Come and listen to us prattle on about bloody dinosaurs. There’s no deeper meaning here. No messages of any kind. Just a good long look and talk about comics that have kool dinosaurs in them.

This week Tom has a good old-fashioned catch up with friend of the pod Josh Hicks. Josh is the creator of such titles as Human Garbage (from Good Comics) and the ever popular wrestling comic Glorious Wrestling Alliance. GWA is being released in a brand new, all coloured edition from Graphic Universe/Lerner Publishing as the “Ultimate Championship Edition”. GWA is a favourite around here and we can’t wait to see how it looks fully coloured. It was great to get to chat to Josh again. Always a massive pleasure. We cover everything from what we’ve been reading, his publishing house Carp Publishing Endeavours (which publishes works from Josh, Ioan Morris and Łukasz Kowalczuk), the new book, work and soooo much more.

Be sure to follow Josh on the usual socials to keep up to date with his comics and other projects.

Five Years later…

We are still here. This episode is just a general comics chat and catch up but we celebrate our 5 year anniversary and what a time it’s been. We have made so many friends, talked about incredible topics, had a laugh, chatted to amazing creators, had interviews with heroes, went to cons, made a comics together, just generally enjoyed ourselves and so much more.

We will never be even able to begin to thank you all for sticking with us and listening this whole time. It’s been an absolute pleasure and we will keep putting them out as long as it keeps being as fun as it’s been.

If this is your first one then welcome! We have 5 years worth of a back catalogue to catch up on and thanks for joining us now.

We really hope you enjoy this, as much as we enjoy making it.

(P.S. That’s us now on our way to another big moment as well. We’re on the road to 100!)

Guess who’s back with a brand new plan of attack?!

Yes! The TCS crew are all back together in the same space. We got a really nice day weather wise so took the chance to sit outside and catch up with our favourite DC superhero squad. We are back chatting about the Justice League! In this JLI Vol.5 conversation we sift through the next collected volume whilst also admiring the single issues we each have, from different parts of the world as well. We compare the printing, colouring, different editorials/collections over the decades and of course (most importantly) the smell.

It was so great to sit down and just have the band back together chatting comics again.

We really hope you enjoy, as much as we do…

Our Tom got the chance to sit down, once again, with The Legend of La Mariposa’s own, the great James Lawrence (@Kingfridayjoe [Twitter], @jimmydeansausages [Instagram]) of which the second collection is currently funding on Kickstarter

https://tinyurl.com/hdu96tn8

This edition collects the 3 mini comics that were made during the making of the first collection “The Demon Gauntlet” there are also other stories that were featured in various publications over time. These are all individual stories so although it’s a second collection, you can just jump right in with this one. It’s a brilliant comic and it was a lot of fun to get the chance to chat to James again as our last one was a couple of years ago now. We go into as much detail about the new collection as possible and so much more.

We dive into our recolaections, past issues, what we still have, what we thought of them and the character and so much more.

On today’s episode we covers those pages/comics in which we constantly come back to. The ones we set aside even though we have a huge reading pile to get through. The ones that we jumps to when thinking about comics. The show offs. The utter loves. The ones that are FOREVER!
