  • EP 2: Discovering Happiness and the Masculine Spirit
A New Episode in Our Discover Happiness Series
Buck has high aspirations for the development of his masculine spirit.  This isn’t something any of us think about too often, and it’s not something we are taught in school. But perhaps he’s onto something. Stick around as we discuss the psychological and emotional trappings that keep men from realizing their dreams, and how a guy’s inner workings can be put back into balance.  Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and it all leads to…happiness. • EP 101: A Date Night Dine and Dish
Washington Square just keeps getting better and better. Last week, Buck and I went to dinner at Stoneacre Brasserie before we cozied up across the street with our partner podcast, Around the Buoy, at the Jane Pickens Theater. It was our first time at the boutique art house cinema, and it wasn’t at all what we expected. Listen in as we dine, dish, and discuss!

  • EP 100: Saying Goodbye to Patsy
All things in our universe are cyclical. Cycles and circles are everywhere – in all forms of matter and energy – proving to us time and again that so much of what we call reality has no beginning and no end.
In this episode, Buck shares a deeply personal story about the recent death of his mother, Patsy.
We believe very strongly that life has no beginning and no end. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy is always conserved, meaning it cannot be created or destroyed. Energy can only be converted from one form into another. And that is how we process death.
As our beloved Patsy transitioned from one form of energy to another, we were there to comfort her and keep her company while she waited for her time. We are in the process of reflecting on that moment and digesting the myriad thoughts and emotions that accompany such an occasion.
Join us as we open up the discussion about this bittersweet time. Listen in.

Where do Newporters go to escape the summer tourists? Our guest is Newport resident and boatwright, Carter Richardson, and he’s on with Helena today to tell us how Lake Placid’s Olympic Center and old Quebec City compare with our beloved Newport. Since Carter is also the host of Around the Buoy podcast, he gives us an update on what’s in store for all you salty fans, starting with a feature on First Light Boatworks in Chatham, Mass.
    Discovering Happiness 23:00
Self-Knowledge, Self-Observation, and the three Centers. In esoteric psychology, there are three main centers in human beings: intellectual, emotional, and moving.  Non-judgemental self-observation is easier when you start off by observing these centers in yourself. In this segment, Buck and I try to help you understand what to observe, and then, what is actually being observed.
