So much to talk about this week! But hands down my favorite story - perhaps out of any story we have done - is about a mom who has crafted a doll that looks like her son to cuddle. It's totally creepy but somehow I can relate.

Plus there's the story of the ethical carjacker, the lizard who's the star of his own cookbook and the truth behind coconut water. And this week we review the 1993 two Corey's vehicle, "Blown Away". Like everything else this week, so much to say about this one.

This week we welcome fellow podcaster, David Ngo. David's podcast, "The Best Story I Never Told" has one guest come on per week and do just that, tell a story they have never told in public before. Our own Anne was on recently (check it out) and so we asked David to pick a movie of his choice to come on and discuss with us.  David chose, "Just Friends" and wound up not only discussing the plot line but unexpectedly offered up a story/confession of his own that he's never told! It was like the Fonz going on Laverne & Shirley. Minds were blown all over Milwaukee.

Plus, in a nod to Valentine's Day, we discuss pink Mac & cheese and free divorce offers (there is a flip side to the holiday). AND we cover the story of a UK teen who has woken up from a coma to discover the world is in a pandemic. Anne and Crissy are writing up the movie version now - it will of course star Patrick Muldoon.

Marc had three films out in 2020 and we were thrilled to discuss all of them plus his career path and as a bonus, we got an honest critique of Crissy's formidable high school acting talents. Chris joined the ladies to talk about his seminal cross country journey that occurred in the twilight of the 1990s, "The Hundred Day Haul". This is a highly entertaining discussion about the adventures Huff had and the characters he met along the way - as well as a primer for anyone interested in getting a car dealership to give you not one but two trucks for free.

And as always we cover the news of the week. As Anne summed up this week's topics: "it's a bunch of idiots and a very smart snake."

When we began this episode by talking about a sandwich that was half eaten by Richard Nixon and man rollerblading down an Ohio highway wearing nothing but a panda head, little did we know the revelations that would ensue! Find out about Anne's theory of mechanical hands, Crissy's scandalous shirt from 5th grade and the real reason Anne chose, "Stealing Home" as the movie to watch this week. Hint: it has more to do with the male leads than the plot line.

We're taking the bold step of calling this episode the first of season 2. Yes, we've renewed ourselves for more episodes filled with animal antics, general head shaking behavior and the movies that deserve a second look (and in some cases, a first look).

This week, Llamas are on the loose in upstate NY, squirrels are on the attack in downstate NY and men are on the self flagellation track in China. Plus, the patron saint of the podcast, Patrick Muldoon stars in "Fishes n Loaves: Heaven Sent," a big career misstep. A terrible movie but an entertaining recap.

It's the moment we've all been waiting for - the end of 2020! We, at the "That's Outrageous" podcast could not let the year go without one more episode.

This week we talk about how there's a lot more to kangaroos than their ability to hop, how there's a lot more uses for a flamethrower than you might think and how there's a new McDonald's new sandwich in Beijing that is more of a dare than a delight.  Plus, we discuss the outrageously good classic movie, "The Sure Thing".  This is one that deserves repeated viewings.

It's Christmas Eve and as you settle in with your family over the warmth of a zoom call, we here at "That's Outrageous" are celebrating with a very special guest, Aaron Augenblick. Aaron is the founder of animation house, Augenblick Studios which created and produced the Snap Original Series, "Death Hacks" as well as partaking in the upcoming Netflix's series, "Headspace" (Jan 1), among other projects. Aaron is also a huge fan of the 1980 movie, "Christmas Evil" and we were delighted when he agreed to come on the podcast to discuss it. Spoiler alert: the man is passionate about this film.

The ladies also dig into current events in celebration of the human (and canine) spirit. There's the Walmart cashier who got the surprise of her life when a dog wandered in, the couple who found really old coins in their new house and the Arkansas neighborhood who turned an ugly letter into a beautiful show of support.

And, we talk about real life stories from around the globe that we are calling Christmas miracles: a hiker on Mount Rainier whose heart stopped for 45 minutes, yet lived to tell; a Taiwanese man brought out of a coma at the mere suggestion of chicken tenders (Popeyes, take note) and an election tampering in a New Zealand bird popularity contest. Yes, you read that right. And yes, that is not a Christmas miracle but we were going with the rule of 3.

Mike's book, "Slouchers" came out this week and we discuss it with him along with such topics as his writing career, Jon Hamm and drug stores in Brooklyn. We got so engrossed in our conversation that we never got around to finishing the most important topic of the week, the Kazakhstani bodybuilder who married a sex doll. Now that will tell you something.
