I came across Chris Killz and The Family, not through an Instagram ad, but through my local brewery‘s Instagram post about their album release show. Though I missed that event I caught their electrifying performance at Montebello’s Heritage Festival a week later. Their rockabilly banger, “I Got Friends” instantly hooked me. I stumbled upon Jack O’Connor a while back when he was sharing the stage with 110-Podcast-favorite, Velodrone. Unfortunately, I missed the show, it just wasn’t in the cards. Full disclosure, when I first checked out his 2022 album, North Orange Grove, it went straight into The Vault, which is where music goes when I can’t handle it at that particular time. Recently, “Dancing Upside Down” just happened to pop up on a random shuffle, and I fell in love with it all over. It was a sign it was time to share it here.
