Like most of us you probably wanna know wouldn't we like to travel to space? Well, maybe not to live, but just to visit. You want to be a space tourist. Good news! There are a bunch of companies working hard to give you the opportunity to fly to space. How long until you can buy a ticket?

Please help us keep training the trainers! Learning Space is a weekly G+ Hangout on Air about topics in astronomy education, outreach and other ways to share science both in the school setting and outside it. We bring you interviews, hands-on demonstrations, lists of our favorite educational resources and more!
Dr. Al Grauer hosts. Dr. Albert D. Grauer ( @Nmcanopus ) is an observational asteroid hunting astronomer. Dr. Grauer retired from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2006.
Today's 2 topics:
- Rose Matheny of the Catalina Sky Survey rules. On a 3-night observing run at Mt. Lemmon, she found 82 new asteroids! 29 proved to be Earth-approaching, 32 are other asteroids, and the rest need more observations. 2 of them are PHAs and bear watching.
- A comet is producing a 3,000 mile long trail of debris as it slowly comes apart. The Hubble Space Telescope has imaged that disintegrating comet as it cruises the solar system 67 million miles from us.

We have discovered a new satellite orbiting the distant object 2007 OR10. Well ok.. this object isn't famous as Eris, Haumea or Quaoar but it still a Trans Neptunian Object.
According to the IAU, there are only five objects that are officially classified as dwarf planets. They are Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris. In fact, OR10 is slightly larger than Makemake or Haumea, and is hence almost certainly a dwarf planet.

You may remember that Pluto is now classed as something called a “Dwarf Planet”. As well as Pluto, there are four other dwarf planets in our Solar System: Ceres, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris.
Plus, there may be a new member joining the dwarf planet family very soon – an object called 2014 UZ 224 and nicknamed ‘DeeDee’, short for Distant Dwarf.

In order to live in space we will need to live in a habitat that simulates the temperature, pressure and atmosphere of Earth. And one of the most interesting ideas for how to do this will be with inflatable habitats. In fact there are a few habitats in the works right now, including one attached to the ISS.

Today's 2 topics:
- C2016 Q4 Kowalski has an orbit similar to 2060 Chiron, which has rings. 10199 Chariklo has rings as well. Kowalski has both comet-like and asteroid-like aspects.
- 2016 RT, discovered by our podcaster, Dr. Grower, is a fast-moving Aten asteroid. These asteroids spend most of their time inside Earth's orbit but many cross our orbit and are potentially hazardous objects.

After spending nearly 13 years orbiting Saturn, the Cassini–Huygens mission will soon be over. The Cassini spacecraft was launched from Earth in 1997. It then spent seven years traveling across the Solar System before arriving at Saturn.
A few months later the Cassini “mothership” released the Huygens probe onto Saturn’s mysterious moon Titan. This was humanity's first landing in the outer Solar System!
