This week, we'll be talking with Leanne Kniepkamp about Science Olympiad. What is it, and what is it like leading a team to compete... for SCIENCE?!
LeAnne Kniepkamp received her BS and MS in Science Education at SIUE in 2003 and 2005 respectively. While attending SIUE, LeAnne was a graduate student worker in the Office of Science and Math Education. It was in that capacity that LeAnne was first exposed to Science Olympiad. Upon graduation, LeAnne found employment in Lebanon, Illinois, teaching middle school Physical Science and high school Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics. LeAnne also established a Science Olympiad Team in Lebanon, that team is still competing at Regionals every year.
Find out more about Science Olympiad at http://www.soinc.org/ and http://www.scioly.org/.

Finally, a great resource for UV beads:

So what is happening to spacetime in the center of a black hole? More specifically, if you were in the center of a black hole would you have mass in all directions from you and you would be effectively weightless (in the same was as someone in the center of the Earth would be weightless)?
