With the conclusion of the NBA Draft, the guys want to discuss what they feel is a recent trend with draft selections. Teams are seemingly making big “reaches” by drafting players with little production over more proven talent. Case in point, the Milwaukee Bucks selection of AJ Johnson. Why are we seeing more proven players like a Reece Beekman end up on two way contracts versus being drafted? Is it now a must to draft a superstar over a player to fill a roster hole? They have defenders, including an elite in Jrue Holiday, and great role players to go with the already established star power. Who will step up for Dallas? Will the return of Porzingis put Boston over the top? What will it mean for the team who ends up losing? The money is on the table and all bets are in!

After the holiday weekend, the OPEN sign is on and it’s back to business. Since the Dallas Mavericks couldn’t close out the Timberwolves, we decided to go in a different direction. There have been some recently proposed changes to the NFL offseason, specifically related to OTAs. With the Pack back in town, we felt it was relevant to discuss. Tune in as the guys weigh in on whether the idea is good or bad for football. Is this related to the idea of extending the regular season or getting rid of the preseason or maybe it’s all connected?! Does it seem like there’s more life in the locker room so far this year than in seasons past? If you’re a Packers fan, you gotta love it! With the final series wrapped up after two pivotal Game 7s, the Deli is back and talking NBA playoffs again. The Indiana Pacers knocked off the injury riddled New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the defending champion Denver Nuggets. The conference finals are now set, with Indiana facing the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Dallas Mavericks. One young superstar is guaranteed to win their first ring with these matchups. It feels like Jayson Tatum has been battling for one for years! Can Kyrie help guide Luka to glory? Will Tyrese Haliburton lead the pesky Pacers to the finish line? Or will it be Anthony Edwards channeling his inner Kobe/MJ and cementing his status as THEE next guy? The OPEN sign is on so you know what that means! If you haven’t already heard the hot take from Austin Rivers last week, things have escalated a bit so we figured it would be worth talking about. Basically, Rivers claims that there are way more current NBA players that could be transplanted into the NFL and play but not the other way around. He literally said the list would be 30 players long. Despite dude being a bum, does he have a point? Cisco took the time to compile a list so pull up and join in! Maybe you can help solve the case of the missing Kobe cards.

We know it feels like forever and a day ago but the Deli is back but with some sad news. Due to a CWD (chronic wasting disease) recall, our venison is no longer available. After being ousted by the Indiana Pacers, the Milwaukee Bucks added another 1st round exit to their resume. Tune in as the guys give a brief breakdown of the series and highlight the offseason concerns that the franchise is facing. With no salary cap space and minimal draft assets, on top of the high probability of losing their GM, can the Bucks find a way to return to form? The guys think there’s a way but they need to get a little lucky or else the Buck will stop here.
