V locked himself out of his car, and—despite Lyft’s recent arrival in Sioux Falls—is unable to get to The Gateway in time to talk with Olde Towne Dinner Theatre executive director Casey Ring about the company’s latest production, A Tuna Christmas. Luckily, Alana enlists engineer Brian to sub in for The Noble One, and he does pretty much just as good a job as V.
It’s the 605 Show, and Brian forgot to EQ his own mic.

It’s another slightly spooky episode of The 605 Show, brought to you by 605 Magazine and Cortrust Bank. This month Alana and V hit up Taphouse 41 for plenty of bourbon, tots, and wings.
First out of the gate, the gang gets superstitious with mentalist Zac “zstonish” Tenneboe. Zac gives us the low down on his one man show, Superstitions, at the Orpheum Theatre on Friday, October 13, before trading shots with V during Alana’s latest drinking game, “Does zstonish Do It (Do It… Do It…)?”
Before the break, manager Brent drops by to run down all of the delicious things happening at Taphouse 41.
Finally, Kellen Boice of the Sioux Falls Design Center joins us to talk about just a handful of the SEVENTEEN events happening during Sioux Falls Design Week, September 28-Oct 7, while Alana and V talk about seed bombs.
It’s the 605 Show, and it’s completely organic.

This episode of the 605 Show is an all-you-can-listen grilled pineapple-stravaganza, recorded live to tape at Carnaval Brazilian Grill.
Jordan Knopf of Tuff Roots joins us straight out of the gate to talk about the band’s new album, Planting Seeds, and to politely indulge Alana’s reggae stoner stereotype game, “Cannabis or Can I Not.” (V doesn’t think it makes much sense, either.)
Then our man Aiden from Carnaval takes a break from bringing us plate after plate of delicious food and drinks to explain exactly what we’ve been eating and drinking.
After the break the Burlap Wolf King himself, Thomas Hentges, has just enough time to talk about his new album, Bitter Honey; treating your band like family; and plans for (3???) new albums before Alana reaches peak TMZ and launches into a segment crafted specifically for the newly-single King, “Who Let the Wolf Out?”
It’s not as gossipy as it sounds, but it’s close. It’s the 605 Show.

By popular demand, The 605 Show is back at The Gateway this month. Our good friend Jackson joins Alana and V to talk patio living (and drinking) and American Outlaw soccer.
Then Sioux Falls-based singer-songwriter NW Engbers drops in to talk about his beautiful new EP, The Inner World, his growing family, performing at the 605 Summer Classic later this month, and book-smelling.
After the break, Adam Jorgensen joins the crew with an exhaustive list of Sioux Falls Pride Week events before hopping in the hot seat for Alana’s drag connoisseur quiz, “This Game is Not a Drag.” To be fair, we made Alana come up with a quiz name on the spot.
It’s The 605 Show, and it is anything but a drag!

The 605 Show is back again. This time we’re hosted by Ileen Sayler and the exceptional staff at CRAVE Restaurant in Downtown Sioux Falls, and the crew finds out that the only way to make CRAVE’s delicious dishes better is to add a sexy backing track while describing them.
Chris Bedford stops by to talk about his new album, Picasso, planning for success, and performing at this year’s 605 Summer Classic.
After the break, Chelsea Tracy of Chelsea’s Boutique sits down with us to talk about being an entrepreneur, an advocate for women’s empowerment, and a celebrity fashion skeptic before co-anchoring Alana’s new segment “The Trend Report.”

The 605 Show is back once again at the lovely Ode to Food & Drinks, where to crew is toasting the show’s new sponsor, Cortrust Bank, and talking amuse bouche with Chef Bob.
Co-owner of Total Drag Liz Nissen shows up to talk about the venue/record store’s renovation, running a cool all ages venue, and play Alana’s morbid celebrity death quiz, “R.I.P. Music Trivia.”
Then Jeff Zueger of the White Wall Sessions stops by to talk about the show’s upcoming fifth season, band riders, and doing what he can to make local musicians stars.

It’s the month of love, so the 605 Show is celebrating with an Ode. Theresa Flannery of Ode to Food and Drink was gracious enough to host us and woo the crew with candied bacon Old Fashioneds, chislic, and Chef Bob’s famous risotto.
Lauren Forsch of The Bakery stops by to talk entrepreneurship in Sioux Falls and tell us about The Bakery’s upcoming Speakeasy Soiree (Fri, Feb 12 at Crawford’s).
After a smooth interlude from the JAS Quintet, Downtown Sioux Falls Communications Director Brienne Maner jumps right into the hot seat for the Downtown Speed Round, but Alana’s only getting warmed up. Next comes her “anti-Dr. Phil” Valentine’s surprise game, “Is Brienne a True Belieber?” in which Brienne is quizzed about her relationship with her husband, 605 Show engineer Brian Bieber.
It’s the 605 Show, and Brian is a little uncomfortable with this one.

This month Carnaval Brazilian Grill made the mistake of inviting us to record in one of their beautiful private dining rooms. They plied us with appetizers, drinks, and grilled pineapple, and now we might never leave.
Carnaval bartender extraordinaire Ben joins us in the first segment, and he comes bearing specialty cocktails.
Then musician and producer Dylan West stops by to discuss his newest venture, MoAmp Studios, and to participate in what may go down as the most disastrous game of “Two Truths and a Lie” in the history of games.
After the break, Exposure Gallery & Studios owner Zach DeBoer joins us to talk about how Exposure aspires to make art shows fun before dropping a “605 Exclusive” that takes Alana’s breath away.
It’s the 605 Show, and we’re all stuffed full of delicious Brazilian meats.

It must be sweeps month, because this episode Alana is determined to kick up some dirt on her guests.
First DJ KOR drops by to talk about how he became a traveling EDM mogel (our description, not his) and commiserate with V about life on the road before braving Alana's newest drinking quiz game, "I Plead the Shot."
Then Shawn Cable and his PR handler, Addi, sit down with the crew to talk about bringing sexy back to this year's Dancing With the Sioux Falls Stars, but not before Alana attempts to get him to dish about newsroom drama... only to have V reveal some skeletons in his own broadcasting closet instead.
It's time to slip on your speedos and tap shoes, because The 605 Show is about to begin.
Big thanks to Jackson and the Gateway Lounge crew for being so hospitable once again.
If you love the show, share it with your crew however you do that.

It’s October, which means it’s time for V to turn out the lights and hide from trick-or-treaters. Right out of the gate, Alana freaks everyone out by recounting her encounter with the vengeful spirit of a man who died during her family’s trip to Disney World. For real.
Then Wes Eisenhauer of Soulcrate stops by to talk new music, blowing up Reddit, and eight years of Rap Karaoke. Plus, is Dirt Dee adopted? Did V once narrowly avoid dying in a fiery blaze? Alana gets to the bottom of these and other questions with her new trivia game, “Noble or Faux-ble?”
Finally, local psychic medium Donna O’Dea joins the crew for the final segment of the show. She talks about growing up psychic, shares some of her strangest and spookiest ghost busts, reassures Alana that her grandma still thinks she’s cute, and gives V some tarot-inspired business advice for his new venture, Think 3D.
Be sure to stop by the Gateway Lounge this month to try the new cocktail inspired by the Gateway’s nobelest customer: “The Big V” (or “The Deep V,” depending on who you ask).
Don’t be scared, it’s just The 605 Show.
