Brendan Courtney was my 26th guest on The 80% way back in 2017. I haven't aged a day since then but so much has happened since we first spoke.

Little did I know that I would go on to produce a podcast for him and Sonya Lennon for many seasons or that we would become friends. But life is a rollercoaster and you just gotta ride it as Ronan Keating says.
When we met 8 years ago, Brendan had a lot going on. His dad died less than 3 months before, his sisters were both sick but true to his character, Brendan didn't stop engaging with life and making the most of things even when there were challenges all around.

COME AGAIN!? IT'S EPISODE TEN!After a mere three and half month summer break, The 80% podcast is back! I'm more tanned than I was back in June but I'm still as resentful of the success and achievements of others. This week my guest is Irish radio superman, Ian 'Iano' Dempsey, presenter of Ireland's most popular breakfast show on 100-102 Today FM. I grew up listening to Iano each morning as I ate my Rice Krispies before school. Now, I am lucky enough to talk to him most mornings in my role as ace traffic reporter on his show. He can't bloody believe his luck!We talked about all sorts including Bono, Ballymun, being a boot boy and a summer in D'Arcy. Saucy!I was a bit rusty after the break so please forgive me talking faster than usual and some dodgy edits but I will do better! I hope you're doing great wherever you are listening to this. JUMPIN' JOLLICKERS, I WAS ON ME HOLLIERS! Which is why there was no podcast uploaded last Tuesday. I had it edited and ready to upload ahead of time for when I was away but the wifi was so bad where I was, I couldn't do it mates. I'm sure you were all devo but managed to somehow get on with your lives regardless. I edited this chat the night before I went off on me jolls when I was trying to pack and do a million other things hence I sound a bit weary in the intro and outro. Currently, she works as digital editor and presenter for http://www.Extra.ie as well as doing a thousand other things. She can drop the word 'vagina' into a sentence apropos of nothing, more than any other human I have ever met and I like her all the more for it.
