  • The 9pm Edict Public House Forum 2
Do you wink at powerful men? Apparently winking at powerful men is a thing, and we hear more about this and other tips for success in this rather odd episode of The 9pm Edict.

In this podcast, there's talk of coal, cannibalism, Margaret Thatcher, Tony Abbott, Kevin Rudd, penises, the guillotine, power, destiny, and much more.

  • The 9pm Garden of Hate
Planet Earth is dissolving into a replay of the Middle Ages. Crusader Rabbit is off his leash, with more mouth foam than a rabid dog full of dishwashing liquid.

In this podcast, there's talk of cybercrime, civilisation, sodomy, and probing up the jaxie. Nicholas Fryer ponders the strange days of Australian politics. And there's just a little too much information about teapots.

President Trump. Go on, you might as well start practising it now. President Trump. Say it with me. President Trump. This is going to be so excellent.

  • The 9pm We Are Above All That Stuff

In this podcast, there’s talk of resilience, hallucinating goldfish, electric eels, economics, and squid jism.

  • The 9pm Malcolmgasm
The air is filled with a swirl of rose petals and gold dust. The nation’s rivers and streams run with champagne. Malcolm Turnbull is Prime Minister of Australia.

Broadcaster Alan Jones rejects the process of choosing the PM for one of his own devising. And we hear one of Jones’ talkback callers explaining the real reason we should be worried about Turnbull.

In this podcast, there’s also talk of agility, estimations, Greek food, Pink Floyd, quinoa, wigs, and intense happiness.

The panellists are Elisha Pearce from Fairfax Community News; Ginevra Martin, textile designer and IT lawyer; Karl Sinclair, a seminarian in the Diocese of Bathurst; and Dr Cat Dorey, science advisor for Greenpeace’s tuna campaign.

It was recorded in front of a live audience at the Australian Arms Hotel in Penrith on Saturday 12 September 2015.

  • Announcing "The 9pm Edict's Public House Forum"
Would you like to witness the recording of a very special episode of The 9pm Edict podcast? Yes? Then organise yourself to be at the Public House Forum on Saturday 12 September.

As part of my recent Pozible crowdfunding campaign, The 9pm Urgent Hardware Refresh, I’m recording a forum in a public house — yes, a pub — where a panel of punters will discuss the questions posed by the MEDIA FREEDOM ENLIGHTENED ONES.

The venue is the Australian Arms Hotel, 351 High Street, Penrith NSW 2750. The podcast recording starts at 2pm — but I strongly recommend that you arrive well before that, so you can order lunch and a few beverages and get into the mood.

Space is strictly limited, so you’ll need to book a (free) ticket through Eventbrite. Do it. Do it now. Actually don’t do it now. Tickets go on sale this Saturday 29 August at 1200 midday AEST.

In this podcast, there’s talk of crime, terrorism, heroism, bestiality, emoji, necrophilia, and more.
