I've been learning a lot from the feedback of several of my online courses. Some students really want you to walk them through the exact process of website layout. Others want to get information about how to build their websites, and then branch off relying on their own creativity.
What type of student are you?
Today I'd like to start a regular conversation about creativity, learning, and mirroring the works of others. Many photo editing programs out there now come with "Presets" for photo editing. Drop your photo in, use someone else's developing knowledge, and call your new image a masterpiece. For me, I like learning from others, but then experimenting with my own looks. Which process is right, which is wrong? Is there such a thing as a "correct" photo or painting or website layout? Are we killing creativity and inviting cookie cutter designs from all corners?
Let's have a conversation. You can get in touch with me via email to rich at rlcdesign.net
