This week Tiffany speaks with KIRU. KIRU is an American artist, Gen Z entrepreneur and the CEO of KIRUNIVERSE, which he founded in 2016. KIRUNIVERSE is a boutique experience marketing and design firm based in Brooklyn, New York. Built on a mission to empower artists and entrepreneurs in the limitless expansion of their social impact, KIRU describes the company as an “Experience Age design of self-exploration.” In July 2020, the firm released a new digital product, Brand Guide X, to provide artists and entrepreneurs a complete visual guide to their brand that is both affordable and accessible.
KIRU is also the co-founder of KIRUNIVERSE COLLECTIVE, which was established in June 2018 as an effort to provide a safe space for artists to explore the depths of themselves as they worked together to create a story, a visual, and an experience. Notable contributors include Rachel Dolezal (International Artist), Jennifer Ortakeles (Writer, Journalist and Editor at Business Insider), and Tanya McGee (City Planner and Community Builder). As an artist himself, KIRU is known chiefly for his skill in the performance and production of music, and additionally as a writer, illustrator, model, and director.
In 2019, KIRU made his debut as an author, publishing The Book of Positive Affirmations, the only definitive guide that exists for the practical implementation and continued use of positive affirmations in everyday life. Originally a native of Elmira, New York, KIRU currently lives and creates out of Brooklyn, since June 2015.
