On Episode 12 of The Anecdote, we are joined by special guest, former Saskatchewan Roughrider All Star and current Los Angeles Rams linebacker Derrick Moncrief. 

Prior to the interview, we recap a crazy week in the NFL offseason, including the recent transactions in NFL Free Agency. We talk QB movement, the Buccaneers reloading, the Patriots spending spree and what to expect from some teams following the first wave of signings. 

After our Pay it Forward, we welcome Derrick Moncrief to the show. Our first NFL/CFL player was very exciting for us, and we chat about a variety of topics with Derrick including his high school days in Prattville Alabama, playing college football in big time programs Auburn and Oklahoma State, his journey to the CFL, coach Chris Jones and his current team the LA Rams. Derrick talks about the feeling of running out of the tunnel to Bring 'Em Out, the Labour Day Classic, Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford, the speed of the CFL game and his ideal scheme fit in the NFL. Derrick shares the story behind his new brand Going The Distance, as well as shares some Pay it Forward businesses of his own. 

After recapping the interview, Logan shares the Local Guy of the Week and we get our action in for this week Alternate Lines.

In Episode 11 of The Anecdote, we dive into the WHL East division hub teams playing in Regina, including all five of the Saskatchewan teams. Jesse and Brett dive into Connor Bedard's hot start, a couple of young Saskatchewan born studs playing in Moose Jaw, the perineal contender Prince Albert Raiders, and what the Blades will bring to the table in the bubble. 

Following a Pay it Forward, we jump into our interview with the longest serving captain in Saskatoon Blades history and Lloydminster's own, Chase Wouters. During the interview with Chase,  we discuss his five years with the Blades, growing up in Lloydminster, the ability to juggle academics and athletics, Kirby Dach, Paul Bissonnette and the rivalry with the PA Raiders. Wrapping up the interview we dive in to Chase's questionable music taste and his favorite WHL arena. 

After Jesse, Brett and Logan recap the interview, we share our Local Guy of the Week before finishing off with our Alternate Lines action for the upcoming week.

On Episode 10 of The Anecdote, we welcome Rosetown/Elrose MLA Jim Reiter. Before the interview,  we talk about the upcoming interview and some current political events before presenting our Pay it Forward business for the episode. 

During our discussion with Jim, Brett and Logan go through topics including the potential emergence and vote splitting of the Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan,  the current state of the covid restrictions, vaccine rollout, the potential of a 2022 Olympic boycott and many of the success stories Jim has been a part of since the Saskatchewan Party formed government in 2007. 

Following the interview, we go through a recap including a great story from Jim including episode 7 guest Rod Pedersen. After our Local Guy of the Week, Brett, Jesse and Logan present their Alternate Lines picks for the upcoming week.

On Episode 9 of The Anecdote, we are joined by Oxbow Saskatchewan's own, Theo Fleury. Before the interview, we thank our listeners for the amazing engagement we received on our giveaway over the weekend. Jesse, Logan and Brett then recap the first couple months of the NHL season, going through each division and giving our take on the league. 

Following a Pay it Forward, we are joined by Theo. The discussion includes the 19th anniversary of the 2002 Olympic Gold medal, his time with the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche, Theo's advocacy for mental health, and the on the current polarization of the political landscape.

In Episode 8 of The Anecdote, we sit down with Saskatchewan Educator Cindy Cantelon for an interview. Jesse, Brett and Logan go through some great memories from growing up in the Sask Education system, and a quick intro into our guest for the episode and our Pay it Forward business. 
When Cindy joins, we discuss a plethora of topics including a compensation model for extra curricular involvement, the amount of documentation that goes into the profession,  the current state of Post-Secondary Education in the province, the STF and the current lay of the land when it comes to high school sports and return to play. 
Following the recap of the interview, we present our Local Guy of the Week and finish off with our Alternate Lines picks for the week of Feb 22.

On Episode 7 of The Anecdote, Jesse, Logan and Brett interview our first music guests, Niall Cubbon and Nathan Thoen from BOMBARGO! We kick off the episode by discussing what we have been listening to over the last few weeks, our takes on the state of the music industry today, and talk about our Local Guy of the Week.  During the interview we discuss Niall's driving skills, the writing process and playing a sold out Labour Day Classic. After that we cover our Pay it Forward for the episode, and wrap up with our Alternate Line picks for the week.

In Episode 6 of The Anecdote, we share our reactions to Super Bowl 55 between Tampa Bay and Kansas City. After a Pay it Forward by Maddog, we preview the interview with Saskatchewan broadcasting legend Rod Pedersen and talk some CFL. In the interview we discuss Charleston Hughes, Cam Judge, Mattland Riley, Chase Claypool and Rieger's next career move.  To wrap up, another Pay it Forward and our Local Guy segments are followed by Alternate Lines where we give you some EPL and NHL action for the week.

On episode 5 of The Anecdote, the fellas interview an amazing guest, David Barchard from Mirco Acres in Airdrie Alberta. Dave grew up in Saskatchewan, and three years ago started a micro greens business in his basement using roughly 500 square feet. He managed to turn that small space into over $20,000 in revenue. We talk to David about his journey through the start up phase, the scalability of this business, and how you can start your own micro green operation.   

Following the interview we have our Pay it Forward segments, the Local Gal of the Week and our Alternate Lines featuring our favorite Super Bowl prop bets and Prem League picks. 

On Episode 4 of THE ANECDOTE, the gents kick it off with an awesome announcement of the incorporation of Saskatchewan superstar band Bombargo into the show. Hockey talk starts off with our early season surprises, the Hughes brothers, Alexis Lafreniere's early season struggles an the Dubois/Laine blockbuster.   

Langenburg Saskatchewan's own Darren Dreger joins the show at the 19 minute mark to discuss a wide variety of topics including growing up in Sask, his introduction to the media industry,  the issue with regional blackouts in the NHL, trade talk and the state of the Seattle Kraken. We wrap up the interview with Dregs' own Pay it Forward.

After the interview, the boys take you through a recap of Sunday's Conference Championship matchups and a quick Super Bowl preview (55 minute mark).
