Liverpool crashed to defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and The Anfield Wrap in association with Redsbet are picking the bones out of that result and the wider knock on effects for Champions League qualification this season and beyond.
In the end the game was decided by the only goal but Chelsea were able to keep Liverpool at bay. The Reds couldn't make their midfield break the lines and found themselves toiling.
The context is everywhere - Liverpool were back from Rome while Chelsea had the week to prepare but Liverpool were thwarted on the pitch.
The result also emphasised weakenesses in Liverpool's squad at every level and we have a conversation about Liverpool's likely transfer plans.
The we is Melissa Reddy, Adam Smith, Philippa Smallwood and Stuart Wright, hosted by Neil Atkinson.

Liverpool beat Roma in the first leg, but they finished the job on Wednesday. Daniel Austin and Fuad Hasan were both there and they describe what it was like to see Liverpool win in the Eternal City.
Now we find ourselves off to Kiev with a small allocation and with a date against Real Madrid for the biggest prize in club football.
What can be said about this Liverpool side which hasn't been already? We work though Wednesday and a season which could bear the biggest prize of them all.
We also look ahead to Liverpool's game against Chelsea; a game The Reds could very much do with getting a result from. What - if any - room does the Liverpool manager have to manoeuvre? Can he ask his lads to go one more time?
What a week it has been for Liverpool. What a season. And it isn't over yet.

The Anfield Wrap this week focusses on three main areas:
Liverpool 0 Stoke City 0
Steven Gerrard going to Glasgow Rangers
Looking ahead to the Champions League Semi Final against AS Roma.
Stoke City was a frustrating affair defined by mistakes from the referee and Liverpool in front of goal. Did Jurgen Klopp take a point?
Gerrard shifting to Rangers tells us about his ambition. Are we surprised by this?
The game against AS Roma is the biggest in the careers of many of these Liverpool players. What should we be expecting.
Neil Atkinson hosts Charlotte Campbell, Steve Graves and Paul Johnson.

The Rider this week has seven of the best bits of new music imaginable though Adam Melia is worried it isn't a particularly rich year for the stuff. Stephanie Heneghan is in clover. She's having a great time.
Neil Atkinson presides stories about stories, conversations around exercise, The Green Man and as ever finding out who is eating what, where and when. God, we seem to eat out a lot don't we? Can tell we don't have children. Every took a child to a restaurant? It's bedlam.
Anyway, it's the best new music podcast out there and we enjoy your company very much.
Sarah Blasko - Never Let Me Go
Dream Wife - Fire
Confidence Man - Don’t You Know I’m In A Band
Alex Cameron - Stranger's Kiss
Daniel Avery - Clear
