My guest on episode 13 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast” is the very funny, talented, and warmly heartfelt comedian TJ Huberg. I first saw TJ perform at a storytelling show on August 5, 2012, and I can honestly say that attending that show and hearing TJ’s story made me a better person. There is a saying, “You don’t know a person until you walk a mile in their shoes…. on that stage in 2012, the audience walked in TJ’s shoes, and we laughed and we cried, and at the end- we knew and loved TJ.
I am indebted to TJ for coming on my podcast to share that story again.
On this episode, you will hear what TJ learned from praying away the gay while living in a shelter for “homeless, helpless, and hopeless people,” IHOP, and how triumph in life and love sometimes takes an unexpected form. Of course we finish the podcast with TJ’s take on what good love feels like.
TJ will be performing at The Rec Room in Huntington Beach on April 7, 2019, and is currently working on their one person show. “Oh Joy, I have a Cold Sore.”
