In this interview with Kary, she shares how becoming an interdisciplinary artist wasn't as much a question of who or what she wanted to "be" professionally - it was more about what she wanted to say. For example, she is interested in the concept of place: as a writer she will write about a place, as a painter she will paint about it, and as a filmmaker she will make a movie based in that place.

In this in-person interview with Corie, she opens up her home to show us the murals she painted in her son’s room as well as several paintings in series about her experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar. We also reminisce about being little kids and making art together - Corie and I met as children! Between raising two young children of her own now, and working full time in a profession she loves, Corie  acknowledges that she doesn't need to prioritize posting up her mural account with all her work, but oh my goodness I’m glad you get a glimpse of what she creates during this interview. This woman has painted worlds onto walls for twenty years now and counting!

She was able to overcome her doubt by making art - and plenty of it.
