Today’s guest, Mandi Thompson, is an in-the-trenches homemaker. She has been married to Don for 18 years and they have 2 teenage daughters. She has mostly been a full-time homemaker, but recently added a full time job as a sales representative in the gift industry. In today’s show, I am chatting with in-the-trenches homemaker, Kelly Gundersen. Our in the trenches category includes homemakers who have been practicing more than 5 but less than 25 years. They are past the newlywed stage and are working through how to prioritize marriage amidst a houseful of kids, schooling, activities, their husband’s career, and more. Life is busy and demands their constant attention in this stage. Kelly is no exception, but her approach to this busy season is refreshing. Here’s a hint, it requires boundaries based on her family’s values and intentionality to thrive within those boundaries.

In today’s episode, we are doing a Deep Dive into the topic of Marital Intimacy. I’m joined by my two friends, Sandi Goforth and Gwen Cunningham, who were both featured on the podcast as subjects of homemaker portraits. Sandi has been married to Walt for over 45 years and Gwen has been married to Paul for 36 years. I am chatting about wellness for the homemaker with Leslie Lucadou, who was featured on The Art of Home Podcast in a Homemaker Portrait in 2022. Leslie is a homemaker and a mom to three little girls. She is a seminary graduate and she has a passion for helping women confidently study God’s word and joyfully live out Truth in everyday moments.
