Join me for this In-the-Trenches Homemaker Portrait of Heather Love of @thesimplelove_ . Heather has been keeping a home for over a decade and she stays extra busy these days caring for and homeschooling her 3 young children. She has a passion for wellness and the healing power of food. Right now she is mostly fleshing out that passion in her daily homemaking, but she occasionally shares insights and practical ideas on her blog and YouTube channel.
We talk a good bit about living within your limits and resisting the pull of perfectionism in homemaking. Wherever you are in your homemaking journey, I know you will enjoy Heather's story of home.

Welcome to Season 15! We are chatting with my friend, seasoned homemaker, Kay Aeby. She graciously shares her journey from self-proclaimed "hippy chick" young bride through a very difficult marriage through years of single parenting then remarriage and her current stage of homemaking in retirement. Kay reflects, "It's not my story, it's God's. I’m grateful that I went through what I did because that helps me to appreciate what I have today…because I see where God delivered me. He didn’t have to, but He loved me so much that He did.”

Today I am bringing you the very first Single Homemaker Portrait on The Art of Home. "Can a single woman be a homemaker," you may ask? Well, if she has a home, she certainly can be! Of course it will look different than a married homemaker who stays home to care for the house and children full-time. Elizabeth also has the unique experience of living 2 days out of every 6 in a fire station for her job as a paramedic firefighter. We have a lot to chat about!

Today, I am bringing to you a brand new homemaker portrait of Sarah Beaugh. Married 22 years with three teen daughters she is what I would call a seasoned in -the-trenches homemaker and she has so much wisdom to share. Sarah found The Art of Home Podcast through social media but then after recognizing several names on past episodes started putting the dots together that we live in the same area and have several mutual acquaintances. I got to sit down with her in her lovely home a few weeks ago and get to know her better through this delightful homemaker portrait interview.
