Ekphrasis is the use of detailed description of a work of visual art as a literary device. Nineb Lamassu achieved this in his latest collection of poems in a book called (The Bow and the Reed) a collection of Ekphrasis poems based on the British Museum's 'I am Ashurbanipal, King of Assyria, King of the World'.
The Book will be launched at Living Assyria Day at the British Museum on Feb 22nd 2019.
Nineb explains to SBS what inspired him to publish this book. He also talks about the latest preparations for the event.
