In this episode Juliet and Clinton answered the following questions:
1. Mary-Jane Herbalist - Seattle, USA
"Hi there Juliet and Clinton. Loving your podcast. I've just binged on 30 episodes over the last 2 weeks! I have a question about Google Adwords. How do you know how much money to budget towards a campaign? I want to do Google Adwords advertising for my local area in North Seattle, but I have no idea how much money I should spend on advertising. And when I ask different people who use Adwords, their answers range from $500-$1500 per month! So my question is, how much should I budget for Google Adwords? And once it's underway, how do I know if it's working or not? Thanks for your help!"
2. Susannah Paterson - Sydney, Australia
"I run an early morning meditation group with 4 dedicated attendees. I need more! I have printed out some beautiful postcards and have distributed them as far and wide as I can. Lots of people saying "oh I'd love to come to that" and then they don't ..... I have posted on Facebook and Linkedin. I have tried the Mosman Daily but they seem pretty uninterested unless I can spend lots of dosh, which I can't justify right now ... I would love some ideas."
3. David - Buffalo, New York
"Hi Clinton and Juliet. I just stumbled across your podcast the other day and have found the episodes I have listened to already be really helpful. I've had a bricks and mortar business in Buffalo for the last 7 years selling organic products and supplements and vitamins. I want to take my little vitamin and supplement store online so I can hopefully step away from needing to be in my store every day.
One of the reasons my little store has been so successful is we offer a very personal service in the store, including free naturopathic consultations, which people love, and we use the consults to upsell our products to our clients.
So I'm wondering if you have any advice of how I could replicate that service online and then market it? I'm aware I'm up against some huge online companies that sell vitamins and supplements, but I want to differentiate myself in the market by offering a much more personal service, which the big companies can't do. I'm also not sure of which order I should be taking the next steps. Any feedback or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!"
