Christian Clemente of Auburn247 becomes the first third mic in the studio era of The Auburn Observer podcast. He joins Justin and Dan to talk about Auburn football’s top-10 class in the 2025 recruiting cycle, headlined by 5-star quarterback Deuce Knight and a large number of blue-chippers the Tigers had to hold onto down the stretch.
How did Auburn sign such a strong class in a losing season? And how much does the recruiting pitch change heading into a pressure-packed 2026 cycle for the program? Christian breaks it all down and gives his thoughts on each individual signee in the 2025 haul for the Tigers.
Later in the episode, Justin and Dan break down Auburn basketball’s 45-point beatdown of Richmond from Sunday. The guys talk about Johni Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara’s unselfishness, the Tigers’ great team defense and the breakout performance of Jahki Howard. The show ends with a lightning round of topics that include Christmas watches, child actor performances and Juan Soto.

Justin and Dan are both back in the Wings 94.3 studio after extended travel. The guys also talk about Tahaad Pettiford’s continue…
Justin and Dan are both back in Auburn after their travels, and they open the show with a breakdown of the Iron Bowl loss to Alabama. The guys look at why the Tigers’ offense just couldn’t finish their chances throughout the season and how it really hurt them against the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa.
Then it’s a pivot over to the defensive side of the ball, where the results were a mixed bag overall — but the youth movement gives some more hope for the 2025 season. They also look ahead to what could be happening on signing day this Wednesday and why there’s a limit to how much an elite recruiting class means right now.
The episode ends with a preview of Auburn basketball’s massive road trip to face Duke. The guys discuss Johni Broome vs. Cooper Flagg and why there’s one particular aspect of this matchup in Cameron Indoor Stadium that might favor the visiting Tigers.

After their long travels, Justin and Dan are back in the Wings studio to share their many thoughts on Auburn basketball’s statement comeback win at Houston. (They don’t have nearly as many thoughts on the whole plane incident, though.)
The guys open with a look at how it took everybody for the Tigers to rally against the Cougars — and how Tahaad Pettiford and Johni Broome had superstar-level performances in the Toyota Center. Justin shares his insight from what he saw and heard from being in Houston on Saturday night, while Dan points out the historical significance of what Bruce Pearl’s team did in this game.
Later in the episode, they look at what this win means in the big picture for an Auburn basketball program looking to win a championship. They also share their recent experiences away from the Plains and make a startling discovery about “Mr. Brightside.”

Justin and Dan share their thoughts on one of the most impressive wins in recent Auburn basketball history: the Tigers’ 51-point throttling of Vermont on Opening Night.

Justin and Dan open the show by breaking down how Auburn football continues to go backwards — especially in home games — in Year 2 under Hugh Freeze. They look at what the Tigers were unable to do against Vanderbilt, including the puzzling lack of carries for Jarquez Hunter and the failure to capitalize on an outstanding defensive performance against Diego Pavia and company.
Then it’s a switch over to basketball, where they look at where Auburn improved from the first to second exhibition. Dan gives his thoughts on strong debuts from true freshmen Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard. Justin shows how the Tigers rose to Bruce Pearl’s challenges on offense and where they can improve on defense.
The episode ends with a quick look at Wednesday night’s season opener against a tricky Vermont team that’s been a regular in the NCAA Tournament for years. The guys also discuss their basketball travel in the upcoming days, which will mean an end to regular studio episodes for a while. Don’t worry, though. They’ll still deliver the podcast, from coast to coast.
