In the moment I share with you today my life changed and even though it was the most traumatic experience I have ever been through I am so incredibly thankful for the lessons it brought me. If I could go back and tell myself something it would be 'Stop waiting for something bad to happen before you decide to live your life to the full Charlotte... life is now and its right in front of you, you've been through enough so believe in your dreams and go for it with your whole heart.'

Want to know why we find it so hard and unnatural to put ourselves first? Because, as women we have been conditioned from an early age to do the opposite. To look after everybody else first. This has been life as we know it right? 

It doesn't mean our parents, grandparents or even great grandparents have done a bad job. It means they didn't get to look after themselves the way they deserved to have been. It just wasn't a thing. Women have always done it all and that was that.

Firstly let's celebrate what a wonderful trait that is in us, to care and love those we have in our lives to this level. 

But, secondly, we want to share today that there is change to be made here. As women of the twenty first century its time to know better and do better for the sake of our next generation,

We have to change the belief of self care being selfish and we have to train our minds to see and believe that our needs matter too. We have to see the power in putting us first without guilt for a moment and we have to witness the power in giving from an overflowing cup instead of a depleted one.

We have been thinking a lot about what we do in the club and what we have done in our own life to create such freedom from overthinking, overwhelm and doubt. We have simply empowered ourselves one step at a time and with every single choice we make. From what we have for breakfast to how we choose to show up for the day. We moved from powerless and letting life happen to us to powerful and creating a life we can't wait to wake up to. 

It is a process and it is one that needs your kindness, compassion and encouragement. It may be a road less travelled but when the brave travel, my goodness they aren't looking back!

Saying yes and continuing to say yes to me is the best thing I have ever done. Saying yes to my wants and needs means I step out of my own way for long enough to start seeing a glimpse of what is possible, of what I am capable of and of how much I am truly worth.

This weekend I climbed Snowdon with my husband and as I sat at the Summit looking out to the intense path we had just climbed I saw not just how far I had come physically but how far I have come mentally through my whole personal growth journey too.

Going inwards is scary at times but I would choose it again and again and again because we are one month into the year and I have lived more this month than I ever dreamed possible.

No matter where you are at right now, please know that you are not an exception for this. You are wildly capable just as I have discovered I am too and together lets decide to walk this way. To walk back to our authentic selves and to walk with pride, one step at a time towards our dreams.

If you are ready to start this journey... grab that five minutes for you today. Sit with a notepad and pen and simply ask yourself how you are and go deep with your answer. Honour the needs that jump off that page and know that you have taken a big step forward today.

Do something different and be SO proud of yourself for it!

In this episode you will discover that this is exactly what we have been doing and it is such a magical place to be. I cannot tell you the power I have found in this simple practise of opening myself up to doing different things. From leaving the washing up and seeing that the house didn't fall down to walking a new route to school to choosing something different instead of Netflix or scrolling on an evening. This week I ramped it up a notch and took a 7.30am dip in a 6 degree lake, something I highly recommend!

But the most important thing is choose something and start today... become unstuck by doing something different, become empowered by feeling proud of your wonderful self and then keep going by sharing your progress with us so we can celebrate you too!

The New Year pressure is a lot right? Have you experienced a need to have it all figured out by January 1st? Have you felt like you 'should' know where you want to go and like you 'should' have hit the ground running with it all by now? Have you felt like a failure and like you are already left behind if you haven't quite done that yet?

We believe we need a new way of doing January and quite frankly a new way of doing the whole year - with self love and encouragement! We believe as a society we need to drop these pressures and instead be kind to ourselves and give ourselves time and love to figure things out individually. 

What if instead of pushing and exhausting ourselves in the first month of the year we actually saw it as an opportunity to rest, to rejuvenate and to get clear on what we want for the remaining 11 months of the year? What if we go inwards and energise ourselves from that place? A place that once we've cracked noone and nothing can take it away from us?
